Join a discussion with MK Aida Touma-Sliman, a Palestinian member of the Israeli Knesset from Hadash - the Democratic Front for Peace and Equality.

The discussion will center on the escalating situation in Gaza and in the region in light of Netanyahu’s extreme-right-wing government’s plans for a permanent war and reoccupation of Gaza.

MK Touma-Sliman will discuss the expanding political oppression against Palestinian citizens of Israel in the context of the Gaza war and will give an account of the joint Jewish-Arab anti-war movement within Israel, which needs support of German peace forces.

Aida Touma-Sliman is a well-known Palestinian leftist in Israel. She founded the feminist organisation "Women Against Violence" in 1992 and was editor-in-chief of the party newspaper of the Communist Party of Israel. She was suspended from the Knesset for two months in November 2023 for sharply criticizing the IDF's conduct of the war in Gaza.

A Registration for this event is required (see above).
